Proposal: Caravan park - 148 long term sites consisting of moveable dwellings, 27 long term caravan sites and associated facilities and infrastructure

Applicant: Hawks Nest Village Pty Ltd

The applicant has appealed MidCoast Council’s decision to refuse the application in the Land and Environment Court.

The Court has approved the applicant’s request to amend the development application.

The amendment proposes to address MidCoast Council’s concerns with the proposal. The amendments include, but are not limited to, the following:

a. Reduction from 220 dwelling sites to 148 and introduction of 27 long term caravan sites;

b. Introduction of a central north-south landscape corridor, including pathway, biofiltration and landscape tree plantings;

c. Amendments to layout and facilities related to the bowling green; and

d. Stormwater infiltration area added into the cleared portion in the west of the site.
