The review found that:

• The current flood model data is reliable and provides a reasonable estimate of flood behaviour for Council and emergency services.
• Council and other agencies should continue most of the flood mitigation measures identified in existing flood studies and plans.
• Flood studies and plans should allow for identifying properties that may be eligible for the NSW Government’s voluntary house purchase and voluntary house raising programs.
• Council should undertake feasibility studies on specific properties to confirm eligibility.
• Four additional flood level gauges are recommended across the region.
• Council should update warning levels for several existing gauges
