Progression of the work on Wingham’s Cedar Party Creek Bridge was hampered by significant rain events including Cyclone Albert which resulted in the temporary bypass closure on 29 March and reopened two days later on 31 March.

Although cedar party Creek reached a record inundation level of 6.998m at 9:30am Sunday 30 March, no damage was recorded with only minor cleanup of debris required.

MidCoast Council has adjusted the normal hours of work to 6am – 6pm Monday to Saturday to allow for complex construction activities and tie in works.

Out of Hours Works Permits(OoHWP) will be applied for by the contractor where works outside of the adjusted hours are required.

Directly impacted residents will be notified of any planned out of hours works prior, and where practical concerns will be resolved.
