OVERVIEW

We are dedicated to improving the condition of our road network, although we recognise that there may be instances where it doesn't meet the expectations of our community.

To support our efforts, we collaborate with the State and Federal Government to secure grant funding, specifically for enhancing the roads that connect our communities.

During 2024-25 we are investing $68 million in large road and bridge projects across the MidCoast.

On top of this we will spend $17 million on our roads maintenance program.

We have a road network spanning over 3,600 kilometers with 669 bridges and 166 km of foot paths and cycleways.

Below are some of the major projects we are currently undertaking.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and live, the Gathang-speaking people and pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who now reside in the MidCoast Council area. We extend our respect to elders past and present, and to all future cultural-knowledge holders.
